Title: 美少女戦士セーラームーン
Title (romaji): Bishōjo Senshi Sērā Mūn
Title (english): Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon
Episodes: 49
Broadcast period: October 4, 2003 – September 25, 2004
Broadcast network: Chubu-Nippon Broadcasting

Synopsis

A great evil, consisting of Queen Beryl, her four generals, and an amorphous evil power named Queen Metaria attempt to steal energy so that Beryl can take over the world.
Standing in their way are the Sailor Senshi, five middle-school-aged girls: perky Usagi Tsukino, genius Ami Mizuno, paranormally gifted shrine maiden Rei Hino, tomboyish Makoto Kino, and J-pop idol Minako Aino; two beings that appear to be sentient stuffed cats (Luna and Artemis); and Tuxedo Mask, a jewel thief in search of a Silver Crystal.
Later in the series, Metaria and Sailor Moon each get too powerful to be reined in, and the conflict shifts to attempting to postpone the inevitable destruction of the planet Earth. (It looks like Earth is plunged into darkness and not actually destroyed per se, but the effect is the same.)

Cast

Keiko Han as Luna (voice, cat form)
Moeko Matsushita as Hina Kusaka
Narushi Ikeda as Sugao Saitou, Minako's manager

Special
Episodes: 2

Synopsis Special 1

A sequel to the series, set four years later, that portrays the wedding of Mamoru Chiba and Tsukino Usagi (which, in the anime, is first shown in the Dark Moon arc of Sailor Moon R). Before their nuptials they must do battle with Mio Kuroki who has been resurrected and claims to be the new queen of the Dark Kingdom. She kidnaps Mamoru and Usagi and intends to force Mamoru to marry her. However, the Shitennou are revived and help their master to defeat Mio's youma, Sword and Shield. Meanwhile, the Sailor Senshi, minus Sailor Mars who is hospitalized with injuries from battling Mio while in her civilian state, use the Moon Sword provided by Queen Serenity to restore their power, enabling them to transform and defeat Mio. The story ends with Usagi and Mamoru's wedding, and Motoki and Makoto's engagement. This act is an hour long, twice as long as all the other acts.

Synopsis Special 2

The last special made for the series is a prequel of sorts that leads directly to the first episode. In it we see how Minako Aino met Artemis and became Sailor V on Christmas. She must use her newfound powers to foil a stage magician/jewel thief called Q.T. Kenko and his Killer Girl assistants. Meanwhile Usagi and her friends decide to dress in their own homemade sailor fuku in order to scare the thieves away from the jewelry store owned by Naru Osaka's mother, (Usagi as Sailor Rabbit, Naru as Sailor N, and their other friends, Kanami and Momoko as sailors K and M) only for Usagi to get kidnapped by Kenko. The actors who portray the Shitennou are featured as the inexperienced police officers group self-dubbed the "Police Shitennou" for comic relief: Captain Kuroi (Kunzite), Officer Akai (Nephrite), Officer Shiroi (Zoisite), and female Officer Hanako (Jadeite). The story ends with Luna coming to Earth, feeling the burn of hitting the atmosphere, in order to give Usagi her powers.

Synopsis Part One

Young Priestess Rin sends a message to Kouga after using herself as Horror bait to get his attention. While at home they discuss the matter and suspects the validity of the message since the message comes from deceased Priest Amon. She tries to show her magical skills as a means of proof, but only damaged Kouga's favorite painting from Kaoru before she left to Italy to study art. Kouga was upset, but still went through with the spiritual summoning ritual and spoke with Priest Amon. Amon's spirit informs Kouga that Jabi's body was still intact and that she resides within an entity called the Makai Tree which resides in the Makai realm. In another district, Rei encounters a strange Horror and kills him as ZERO. In the aftermath he was assigned to Kantai to assist the Makai ritual of Midnight Sun to ensure nothing goes wrong. Kouga and the reluctant Rin enters Kantai to enter the Makai realm portal. As he entered Kouga was involved in an altercation between Tsubasa and his two disciples.
Tsubasa, Rin's older brother and a Makai Knight himself, was critical of Kouga's intentions and scolds his little sister Rin for getting involved in the matter, but Priestess Garai permitted entrance. As Kouga enters the Makai realm to save Jabi from the Makai Tree, Rin must keep the portal open or Kouga will be lost forever. Meanwhile Tsubasa's disciples are attacked by Karakuris and were outmatched when Rei comes to save them. Tsubasa appears as well and takes up the form of DAN Knight of Midnight Sun to dispose of the remaining threat. As Kouga defeats the illusions the Makai Tree has thrown, Kouga faces the beasts' ultimate form and forces Kouga to transform into Garo, riding in with Gouten. Kouga eventually awakens Jabi from her slumber within the beast and Kouga summons the Fanged Wolf Horse-Slashing Sword to slay the Makai Tree and spirits Jabi back to the living, where Rin has kept the pathway open despite how frightening the situation was. Around the same time, a mysterious creature named Legules begun converting Horrors into his Karakuri minions as he makes his way to Kantai.

Synopsis Part Two

After Jabi has been resurrected, she trains Rin in her Makai magic skills. Priestess Garai reflects her memories over the Saezima family happily together before the couple's death and orphaning Kouga. Kouga learns of Legules, a Horror of great power, and prepares for a counter-offensive with everyone for the fiend's arrival. Garai explains that the Midnight Sun ritual is meant to keep the world whole by shooting the Phosphorus Arrow into the eclipse portal, but if the process was stained with innocent blood then the ritual will be a dark one that would revive Legules' legion.
Tsubasa was not pleased to know Jabi was brought back to life, claiming her to be undead. Jabi forces Tsubasa to feel her breast and breath to make him understand she's very much alive. After that argument was settled, they went to examine the Phosphorus Arrow in preparation for the Midnight Sun ritual that Legules has come to ruin. Jabi discovers the arrow's power has diminished and needs to be replenished. In between that time Rei, Kouga, and Tsubasa guards Kantai until the ritual starts. During nightfall Legules attacked, but failed. Unknown to the group, he left part of himself inside Goruba (Tsubasa's sentient bracelet) and patiently waited for his chance to strike.
The attack left Rin injured with dark energies flowing within her. Jabi opted to use a risky purification technique to save her, the process worked. After Tsubasa made his mends with Jabi and Rin, Legules appeared and stolen the Phosphorus Arrow along with kidnapping Rin. The group entered Naraku Forrest to save Rin and prevent the Phosphorus Arrow be tainted with innocent blood. As everyone fought their way in, Kouga faced Legules with the assistance of Jabi. The duo was losing, and to make matters worse, Legules taken a powerful beast Horror form. Kouga transformed into Garo and was caught in Legules's attack when Kouga used the Phosphorus Arrow to purify his body and taken a new powerful form of Garo. The Phosphorus Arrow transformed into a spear and Garo thrust the arrow to kill Legules, completing the Midnight Sun ritual at the same time. With Legules's death, his minions were gone and Kantai was restored to peace. In the aftermath, Jabi stays in Kantai to look after Rin and Rei heads back to his district post as Kouga returns home to find Kaoru waiting for him in the yard after restoring the damaged painting.

Synopsis

Kouga Saejima travels to a new city after receiving orders from the Eastern Watch Dog to hunt down the Horror Karma, an ancient female horror who is one of the infamous Apostle Horrors. By that time, Karma's followers, Kurusu and Shion set up a gothic club named Crime to satisfy their mistress's appetite by bringing her various girls and lure them into her realm with false promises of making their dreams a reality. As Kouga arrives to the city where Karma has based herself in, a pair of Makai Priests named Akaza and Shiguto just rescued a baby from a Horror posing as a mother before the fiend is dispatched by a Makai Priestess named Rekka. Kouga arrives, revealing the "baby" to be a cannibalistic Horror that Zaruba identifies as an Apostle Horror named Bebyl. Though Rekka meddles in the fight, Kouga managed to kept her aside, dons his armor and slays Bebyl. As he leaves, Kouga is approached by the priests as they introduce themselves to him and Zaruba, who reveals his mission to find and destroy Karma. Rekka has a personal vendetta against Karma for killing her father Kengi, an old mentor of Kouga's, refusing to allow anyone to rob her of her revenge.
The following day, Kouga found Rekka playing her Makai Flute and learns how Rekka became a Makai Priestess so she can hunt Horrors. But Kouga reminded her that Horror-hunting are the duties of Makai Knights, not hers; Rekka argued that's only a rule for their convenience since the Makai Priests predated the Knights in their battle. However, Zaruba argued the Makai Knights were created because the priests alone are incapable of handling the Horrors. As Rekka walks off, Kouga remembers his training under Kengi. Deciding to find leads on Karma, Kouga arrives to Akaza's shop for aid. However, the Makai Priests have no clue on Karma's location yet mention Karma being hard to kill and the only way to effectively defeat her is to enter her mirror. But the only way to safely enter Karma's realm and return alive is through the use of Maken of Rubis, which Akaza just so happens to have one.
Later at night, Kouga traveled around the city before Zaruba senses Shion as she was about to deliver Karma another victim. Tracking her down to Crime when Karma devoured another woman, Kouga and Zarba find a barrier erected around the club. As soon as Kouga found the barrier talisman and destroyed it, Rekka appears and confirms that someone betrayed them, as barriers can only be erected by Makai Priests. Once inside, as Kouga looks around, he finds Shion luring Rekka to Karma. But before Rekka could be fed to the Horror, using Kengi's image against her, Kouga shatters the mirror. However, it reforms as Shion spirits it away with Rekka. Kouga is forced to fight Kurusu, who enables Karma to forcefully control some of the dancers into fighting Kouga and Rekka. As Rekka knocks the possessed human unconscious in her pursuit, Kouga broke the mirror again, causing Karma's hold on the humans to be broken. With no one left to hold the pair off, Kurusu assumes his true Horror form to overpower Kouga and Rekka. When Kouga attempts to don his armor, Shion pointed the mirror at him as Karma sucks the Garo armor into her dimension. Without his armor, Kouga had to endure a tough fight which got him injured to keep Rekka from getting killed. However, Akaza and Shiguto arrived with a army of illusionary ninjas to drive the Horrors off.
After the battle, Rekka forces Akaza to admit he betrayed them as Kouga tries to stop her from killing him. After Kouga is brought to the shop to have his wounds treated, Akaza reveals to him that Karma exploited his desire to see his dead wife and daughter and was given a mirror that allowed him to see his loved ones once again, in return for allowing her to feed incognito. Although he knew that was only an illusion, he could not bring himself to toss away the mirror. Taking the Maken of Rubis from Akaza, Kouga intends to regain his armor. With one of Rekka's fishes returning with the location of Karma, she, Kouga, and Shiguto arrive to the building that the Horrors are hiding in without knowledge that they are walking into a trap. The three are joined by Akaza, who wishes to redeem himself. After the Makai Priests seal the building so the Horrors' evil aura would not spill outside, Kouga and the others search for Karma while dealing with numerous phantoms. As Kouga fights for his life against Kurusu, Rekka kills Shion before finding Karma's mirror and alerting the others to her location.
Finding Shion dead, remembering his old life as a human before he sold his soul to Karma and became a Horror, a rage-filled Kurusu arrives to stop them. But Rekka succeeds in using the Maken of Rubis to open a gateway, with all three entering the gateway for a final battle. Once inside, as Kurusu reveals his original form before assuming his Horror form, Kouga dons the Garo armor and got rid of Kurusu with ease. Forced to deal with Garo personally, Karma changes the battle field as she turns into the revived Mother of all Horrors, Messiah. The odds of the battle was stacked heavily against Garo until an astral projection of Akaza delivers Rekka's flute which she had dropped earlier, and told her to play it to summon the spirits of the fallen Makai warriors. By doing so, it galvanized the spirits and they merged with Garo to give him the power to finally defeat Messiah. Returning to their world, Kouga and Rekka learned that Akaza sacrificed his life for his spirit to enter Karma's realm. Soon after, Kouga prepares to depart when Rekka gives him a Makai fish if he ever needs to contact her for help. It also enables her to call him should she ever need assistance. Kouga then leaves to continue his hunt for Horrors.
In a short post-credit scene, Kouga walks in the streets with Zaruba as the latter thinks of a good name for their Makai fish. After a few options, Zaruba suggests "Kaoru", to which Kouga replies "Knock it off" as they walk foward.
